Dallas-based UT Southwestern Medical Center has named Warren D’Souza, PhD, as its inaugural chief artificial intelligence officer.
Dr. D’Souza joined UT Southwestern Medical Center in July, a spokesperson for the organization confirmed to Becker’s. In this role, he is responsible for accelerating the responsible, innovative and effective application of artificial intelligence across research, education, clinical care and administrative operations.
Prior to this, he served as senior vice president and chief innovation officer of the Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System.
