Marcus Williams was sworn in April 7 as assistant chief of police at UT San Antonio’s Health Science Center.
Mr. Williams brings more than 18 years of campus law enforcement experience, according to an April 8 UT Health San Antonio news release. His background includes public safety and police operations in academic health environments.
He most recently served 16 months as interim chief for UT Health San Antonio. During that time, he received the Executive Director Distinguished Command Award from The University of Texas System Police, recognizing his leadership during a period of organizational change and operational complexity.
