Nilay Shah, PhD, was appointed chief strategy officer at The University of Texas at Austin’s academic health system and its anchor, Dell Medical School.
Dr. Shah will lead enterprise strategy, growth initiatives and long-term planning, with a focus on digital health, artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities and strategic partnerships, according to a Feb. 4 UT news release.
Mr. Shah also was named a professor of population health at Dell Medical School and holds the Cullen Trust for Higher Education Distinguished University Chair in Value-Based Care, the release said.
Traci Nordberg was also named CHRO. She joined the organization from Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Healthcare, where she served as chief people officer since January 2024.
