Mr. Rush brings 24 years of experience at UPMC Somerset to his new role, the release said.
Most recently, he has served as president of UPMC Somerset since 2018. He will continue in that role while also serving as president of the other two facilities. All three facilities are part of Pittsburgh-based UPMC.
“Andy has significant experience in market development and physician recruitment — resulting in the addition of several new services and an expanded service area for the Somerset region,” Joel Yuhas, president of UPMC Health Services Division and executive vice president of UPMC, said in the release. “He has a strong focus on delivering patient-centered care and fostering a culture of collaboration, teamwork and transparency amongst employees.”
Mr. Rush earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Pittsburgh, and master’s degrees in physical therapy and business administration from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pa.
