UP Health System-Marquette appoints Jerry Dooley interim CEO: 4 notes

UP Health System-Marquette (Mich.) tapped Jerry Dooley to serve as interim CEO, effective June 19, according to The Mining Journal.

Four notes:

1. Mr. Dooley has worked with Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint Healthcare and LifePoint Health for more than10 years, serving as interim CEO at several of its hospitals across the country.

2. Before joining Duke LifePoint and LifePoint, he served as CEO of several hospitals, including Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, Ind., and Vermillion County Hospital in Clinton, Ind.

3. He holds a master’s degree in hospital administration from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

4. Mr. Dooley replaces Brian Sinotte, who is leaving to serve as president of University of Chicago Medicine’s community health and hospital division and of Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Ill.
