UNM Medical Group drops 'interim' from CEO Jill Klar's title: 5 notes

Albuquerque-based University of New Mexico Medical Group, the faculty practice of the UNM School of Medicine and UNM Health System, selected Jill Klar to serve as its CEO permanently, according to an Albuquerque Business First report.

Here are five notes:

1. Ms. Klar has been serving as interim CEO of the physician group since June 2016.

2. She joined the medical group in January 2016 as COO, a title she continues to hold.

3. She came to UNM Medical Group from ABQ Health Partners — now DaVita Medical Group —where she also served as COO.

4. She replaced Anthony Masciotra, who left to serve as CEO of Portland-based Oregon Health & Sciences University Faculty Practice Plan and as senior associate dean for clinical practice in the OHSU School of Medicine.

5. UNM Medical Group includes more than 1,000 healthcare providers representing more than 152 specialties.
