University of Virginia Health System Names Dr. Richard Shannon EVP for Health Affairs

University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville has named Richard Shannon, MD, executive vice-president for health affairs, effective Nov. 1, according to a Cavalier Daily report.

Dr. Shannon currently serves as the chair of department of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia, according to the report.
