University of Vermont Health Network names Stephens Mundy CEO of 2 hospitals: 3 points

Burlington-based University of Vermont Health Network appointed Stephens Mundy permanent president and CEO of Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y.

Here are three points:

1. Mr. Mundy is president and CEO of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

2. He has been serving as interim leader of Alice Hyde Medical Center since May, when Doug DiVello stepped down.

3. Mr. Mundy will now serve as president and CEO of both Alice Hyde Medical Center and Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, with the COOs of both organizations reporting to him. Alice Hyde will begin to search for a new COO soon.

“Our board is taking advantage of the resources of The Network, tapping into the expertise of both our existing leadership and that of our network counterparts,” said Dan Clark, chairman of Alice Hyde’s board of directors. “Together we are driving change and continuing to provide quality healthcare to northern New York.”
