University of Tennessee Medical Center’s Chief Administrative Officer to Retire

Norman Majors, senior vice president and chief administrative officer of University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, has announced he will retire at the end of the year, according to a Knoxville News Sentinel report.

Mr. Majors has been a healthcare executive for 34 years. He will continue to serve as a part-time advisor to the CEO of the medical center. He retired to spend time with his family, according to the report.

His replacement has not been announced.

During his time at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Mr. Majors played a key role in expanding services and access to patients across the region, according to the report.
