Dr. Runge’s appointment will come into effect March 1, 2015.
Currently, Dr. Runge serves as executive dean of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill.
He will succeed Ora Pescovitz, MD, as permanent executive vice president for medical affairs.
