University Hospitals names new chief strategy, innovation officer

University Hospitals has named David Sylvan as its new chief strategy and innovation officer.

Mr. Sylvan will succeed Paul Tait, who is set to retire in September, according to an Aug. 7 press release from the Cleveland-based health system. 

Currently, Mr. Sylvan is president of UH Ventures, the health system’s venture capital arm. He will continue to hold this position alongside his new one, according to University Hospitals.
