Khaliah Fisher-Grace, PhD, RN, system director of policy, quality improvement and operations at Cleveland-based University Hospitals, will become the American Nurses Association’s vice president beginning Jan. 1, 2027.
The ANA announced the appointment Oct. 6. The association’s board of directors chose Dr. Fisher-Grace to complete the one-year vice president term.
Dr. Fisher-Grace has served the ANA for years, including as director-at-large, chair of the committee on honorary awards, and a member of the ANA appointments committee and racial reckoning think tank. As vice president, she will join the ANA board of directors and executive committee.
Dr. Fisher-Grace has worked at University Hospitals for nearly 25 years, according to her LinkedIn profile. She joined in 2001 as a clinical technical assistant and has served as a clinical nurse, charge nurse, principal adviser of accreditations and system policy director. She led an initiative to reduce administrative burden, cutting more than 3,200 duplicative policies systemwide.
University Hospitals comprises 21 hospitals, more than 50 health centers and outpatient facilities, and more than 200 physician offices.
