Unity Health Care appoints new chief medical officer

Unity Health Care, based in Washington, D.C., chose Stephanie Cox-Batson, MD, as its chief medical officer on Jan. 25.

Dr. Cox-Batson was formerly the CMO at Chicago’s Near North Health, according to a news release. 

“The healthcare industry is at a crossroads,” she said in the release. “We need to be prepared to adjust our care models to meet the needs of the next generation, while honoring and respecting an expanding aging population. There is a lot of good work to be done and I’m ready to get started.”
