Purav Modi has been appointed COO of South Texas Health System’s flagship facility, South Texas Health System McAllen, according to an April 22 LinkedIn post from the health system.
Mr. Modi steps into his new role after serving as associate administrator at South Texas Health System Heart in McAllen since 2023.
“It’s a privilege to have been selected to serve in this role, and I look forward to partnering with the amazing staff and physicians to continue the facility’s storied history of providing the highest quality of care to our community,” Mr. Modi said in the post. “Our staff, patients and community deserve executives who are visible, open-minded and willing to be innovative to provide the best care in the Valley for our well-deserving community, and I’m eager to usher in my style of leadership as COO of STHS McAllen.”
South Texas Health System McAllen, a 441-bed facility, is part of Edinburg-based South Texas Health System. King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services operates STHS facilities.
