UH Avon Rehabilitation Hospital names new CEO: 4 things to know

Andrew Goldfrach has been named CEO of University Hospitals Avon (Ohio) Rehabilitation Hospital.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Goldfrach.

1. He took the position effective May 9.

2. As CEO, he will lead a new 50-bed acute rehabilitation hospital owned through a joint venture between Cleveland-based University Hospitals and Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred Healthcare.

3. Previously, he was the administrator of the Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine, a 58-bed acute rehabilitation hospital licensed under Philadelphia-based Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Medicine) and owned through a joint venture called Good Shepherd Penn Partners, also based in Philadelphia.

4. Mr. Goldfrach earned a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Washington University School of Medicine, based in St. Louis.
