UF Health taps system CHRO

Ed Daech has been promoted to Gainesville, Fla.-based University of Florida Health’s inaugural chief human resources officer, effective Oct. 1.

Mr. Daech joined UF Health in January 2023 as senior vice president and chief human resources officer, according to a Sept. 16 news release from the system.

In the role, he will lead retention efforts and succession planning while overseeing system HR operations such as performance management and talent development, the release said.

Prior to joining the Florida system, Mr. Daech was chief human resources officer at New Brunswick, N.J.-based St. Peter’s Healthcare System, the release said. He was also with St. Louis-based Ascension for nine years in roles including regional vice president for human resources.
