UF Health names regional COO

Lydia Hendrix, DNP, BSN, RN, has been named regional COO for Leesburg-based UF Health Central Florida.

Dr. Hendrix previously served in a leadership role at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and has helped advance operations, quality, safety and team member engagement across the region, according to a June 2 LinkedIn post from UF Health Central Florida.

In her new role, Dr. Hendrix will oversee hospital operations at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages, Fla. Her responsibilities include supporting growth, operational alignment and performance across the region, the post said.

She most recently served as vice president, administrator and chief nursing officer, according to her LinkedIn profile.

UF Health Central Florida is part of Gainesville-based UF Health.
