UChicago Medicine AdventHealth names hospital CEO

Seleem Choudhury, DNP, RN, has been appointed president and CEO of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks in Glendale Heights, Ill., effective June 15.

Dr. Choudhury brings two decades of experience in academic and community hospital settings, according to a May 15 UChicago Medicine AdventHealth news release. He has served as COO of Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, Md., since 2021.

He previously held roles as chief nursing officer of NYC Health + Hospitals in New York City, senior vice president of executive clinical network operations for Burlington-based University of Vermont Health Network, and president of Porter Medical Center in Burlington.

Dr. Choudhury is not entirely new to AdventHealth. Earlier in his career, he served as service line director of emergency services of critical care float pool and cardiology for AdventHealth Parker in Colorado, the release said.
