UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital CNO to retire: 4 notes

Donna Poduska, chief nursing officer of UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo., is retiring at the end of February, according to The Coloradoan.

Four notes:

1. Ms. Poduska has worked at Poudre Valley Hospital for 50 years.

2. She served in several leadership roles at the hospital, including as director of surgical nurses, until she was named CNO in 2011.

3. During her tenure, she helped hire a majority of the hospital’s 800-member nursing staff and led the hospital to achieve Magnet designation five times.

4. Julie Nunley will succeed Ms. Poduska.
