UCHealth names CMO for new Highlands Ranch Hospital: 4 points

Denver-based UCHealth named Tom Purcell, MD, CMO of UCHealth Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Hospital, which is set to open in March 2019, according to a Highlands Ranch Herald report.

Here are four points:

1. Dr. Purcell has worked at UCHealth for seven years.

2. He is a medical oncologist, focusing on lung and gastrointestinal cancers as well as drug development.

3. In his new role, he will oversee a medical staff of around 400.

4. The $375 million, 340,000-square-foot UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital will feature 87 inpatient beds, an 18-bed intensive care unit and six operating rooms.
