UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center in Estes Park, Colo., has promoted Crystal Mecham, MSN, RN, to chief nursing officer, effective June 21.
Ms. Mecham has more than 13 years of nursing leadership experience and most recently served as a nursing house supervisor at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo., for more than four years, according to a UCHealth news release. She also managed a private practice in Boulder, Colo., as executive director.
Before joining UCHealth, Ms. Mecham served as CEO of Banner Surgery Center–Loveland, Colo., and CEO and clinical director of Arête Surgical Center in Johnstown, Colo.
She succeeds interim CNO Ben Hetrick, BSN, RN, who has served in the role for the past year. Mr. Hetrick will move to a new position within UCHealth’s affiliate services team.
