UC San Diego Health Sciences appoints CFO

Mark Harrison has been named CFO of UC San Diego Health Sciences, which encompasses the UC San Diego School of Medicine, the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and UC San Diego Health System.

In his new role, Mr. Harrison will oversee a budget of more than $2.4 billion. He will also be responsible for ensuring efficient funds flow between UC San Diego School of Medicine and UC San Diego Health System and implementing consistent financial reporting standards across all of the units of UC San Diego Health Sciences.

“We are pleased to have Mark join UC San Diego Health Sciences at a critical juncture of growth and integration of the health system’s clinical network,” said Paul Vivian, CEO of UC San Diego Health System and associate vice chancellor of UC San Diego Health Sciences.

Previously, Mr. Harrison served as CFO of Denver-based DaVita HealthCare Partners. He received his MBA and MPH degrees from Columbia University in New York.
