UC Health names hospital CNO

Cincinnati-based UC Health has promoted Tara Williams, DNP, RN, to vice president and chief nursing officer of UC Medical Center.

Dr. Williams joined the two-hospital system in 2021 as associate chief nursing officer for UC Medical Center’s critical care division. Most recently, she led the medical-surgical division at the medical center, which has more than 6,300 employees and 700 beds. 

She began her career at Columbus-based Mount Carmel Health System and brings more than 25 years of nursing and leadership experience to the CNO role.

Dr. Williams assumed the position Jan. 19.
