UC Health, the University of Cincinnati's affiliated health system, announced the appointment of Richard P. Lofgren, MD, as president and CEO.
Dr. Lofgren, who is board-certified in internal medicine, most recently served as senior vice president and chief clinical officer of the University HealthSystem Consortium in Chicago, an alliance of 120 academic medical centers and 300 of their affiliated hospitals.
Dr. Lofgren replaces former CEO James A. Kingsbury, who is retiring.
