UC Davis interim CFO heads to Maryland system

Noel Sousa has been named CFO of Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System, effective July 14.

Mr. Sousa joins the 11-hospital system from Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis Health, where he most recently served as interim CFO, according to an April 30 UMMS news release. He has held leadership roles at UC Davis Health since 1997.

He will succeed Joe Hoffman, who is retiring after serving as senior vice president and CFO. Mr. Hoffman previously spent two decades as executive vice president and CFO of Bel Air-based University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health.
