UC Davis Health taps U of Miami Health system exec as CEO: 4 things to know

Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis named David A. Lubarsky, MD, vice chancellor of human health sciences and CEO of UC Davis Health, effective July 2.

Here are four things to know:

1. Dr. Lubarsky is currently chief medical and systems integration officer at the University of Miami Health System.

2. He also served as chief of service of anesthesia and pain management at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

3. He was previously vice chair of the anesthesiology department and chief of vascular and transplant anesthesia and surgical intensive care at Durham, N.C.-based Duke University.

4. In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Lubarsky earned an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
