Birmingham, Ala.-based UAB Medicine is hiring an associate vice president of patient experience to lead its Office of Patient Experience and Engagement, according to a job posting on the health system’s careers site.
The executive will build and advance a systemwide patient experience and engagement strategy across inpatient, ambulatory and emergency settings. The role oversees the office’s daily operations, personnel, budgets and vendor contracts.
The associate vice president will also serve as the health system’s subject matter expert on patient experience data, including Value-Based Purchasing and Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems measures. Other duties include:
- Chairing steering committees across entities
- Leading system-level improvement teams
- Helping shape the health system’s strategic plan
- Representing UAB Health System externally on patient experience
- Implementing workforce engagement strategies
