Dr. Hughes-Dillard previously served as the health system’s interim CNO and executive nurse leader.

Her work was instrumental during the COVID-19 pandemic, the health system said in a February letter announcing her promotion.

“I plan to serve alongside the medical staff to ensure the patients in this community whom we have committed to serve receive quality healthcare regardless of their race, age, gender, religion or socioeconomic status,” Dr. Hughes-Dillard said. “I want to build trusting relationships with medical staff by elevating the knowledge, skills and abilities of our highly educated nurses.”
