U of Florida Health taps chief nurse executive

The University of Florida in Gainesville has appointed Shakira Henderson, PhD, DNP, as the system chief nurse executive for the UF Health system and dean of the College of Nursing.

Dr. Henderson will join the university system after departing her current role as assistant vice chancellor, system vice president research officer and clinical integration research officer at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and the UNC Health system, according to an Oct. 26 news release.

Her appointment to the role begins Jan. 29, 2024.
