Cincinnati-based TriHealth named John Ward executive vice president and COO amid the system’s CEO transition.
Mr. Ward succeeded Terri Hanlon-Bremer as COO after she was named TriHealth’s president and CEO, effective June 1, according to a June 17 health system news release.
In his new role, Mr. Ward will work with clinical and administrative leadership teams across TriHealth to support operational performance and clinical innovation.
Mr. Ward has served TriHealth for more than 20 years. His previous roles included director of ambulatory systems, chief information officer and senior vice president of regional operations for the Bethesda North region.
Over the last six years, he oversaw completion of the five-year master facilities plan upgrade at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, including the additions of the Thomas Comprehensive Care Center, the TriHealth Heart Hospital and renovated hospital facilities.
The health system also expanded the responsibilities of Jeremiah Kirkland, senior vice president of the Good Samaritan region. In the role, he will assume operational leadership and oversight of Bethesda North Hospital.
