Timothy Babineau, MD. President and CEO of Lifespan (Providence, R.I.). Dr. Babineau served as CEO of Providence-based Rhode Island Hospital and Miriam Hospital before accepting the promotion to serve as president and CEO of Lifespan, a four-hospital health system, in 2012. He previously served as medical director of Boston Medical Center Surgical Associates at Quincy Medical Center before spending five years as senior vice president and CMO of Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical Center and School of Medicine. In January 2017, Dr. Babineau was elected to the administrative board of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems, which comprises around 400 teaching hospital and health system members belonging to the Association of American Medical Colleges.
