ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano (Wis.) CEO Dorothy Erdmann is retiring, effective Dec. 16, 2016.

1. Ms. Erdmann became CEO of the medical center in 2009, prior to its affiliation with Appleton, Wis.-based ThedaCare in 2011.

2. She had previously worked in an executive-level position with Minneapolis-based Allina Health.

3. Ms. Erdmann has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare.

4. Bill Schmidt, CEO of ThedaCare Medical Center-New London (Wis.), has been named regional hospital CEO, and he will oversee both the New London and Shawano hospitals following Ms. Erdmann’s retirement.
