Dr. Ferrari is a noted leader in biomedical nanotechnology research and has served as “special expert on nanotechnology” at The National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Md., where he led the development of the NCI’s program in nanotechnology.
His scientific interests include cancer, traumatic injury, cardiovascular medicine and infectious disease. Dr. Ferrari holds a Ph.D in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a doctorate in mathematics from Universita’ di Padova in Italy.
Dr. Ferrari also serves as president of the Alliance for NanoHealth and professor of experimental therapeutics at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
