Dr. Herman will be responsible for company-wide operations, including sales, customer service, product development and medical management. She will also oversee the research and teaching activities of the Harvard Pilgrim Institute in Boston.
Ms. Herman became Harvard Pilgrim’s interim COO in 2009. She previously served as the system’s chief medical officer and senior vice president of health services, and was responsible for managing Harvard Pilgrim’s clinical departments and quality programs, the health plan’s provider network and vendor contracts.
