Roberto de la Cruz, MD, has been named chief medical officer at Medical City Forth Worth and Medical City Weatherford, both part of Dallas-based Medical City Healthcare.
Dr. de la Cruz, an internal medicine specialist, has spent decades in healthcare leadership roles across North Texas. Most recently, he served as vice president and chief clinical officer at Dallas-based Parkland Health.
As CMO of the two Medical City Healthcare hospitals, Dr. de la Cruz will oversee clinical direction for more than 700 physicians, quality and safety, risk management and medical staff services, according to a May 14 news release shared with Becker’s.
Medical City Healthcare is part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
