Texas Health hospital names chief nursing officer

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen has named Kari McCord, MSN, RN, chief nursing officer. She will start her new role Sept. 10.

As CNO, Ms. McCord will work closely with Amanda Thrash, the hospital’s president, and Robert Schwab, MD, chief quality and medical officer, to develop and oversee the implementation of policies and practices related to patient safety and care quality, according to an Aug. 28 news release. 

She previously served as associate CNO at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen is part of Texas Health Resources, a 23-hospital system in North Texas.
