Texas Health names chief nursing officer, former MedStar exec COO

Arlington-based Texas Health announced two updates in leadership this week.

Jennifer Chavez, DNP, RN, was appointed chief nursing officer of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth.

Dr. Chavez began her career with the health system in March 2020 as a patient care technician, eventually becoming associate chief nursing officer at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, an Oct. 20 news release said.

She was recently one of two individuals within the health network to complete the advisory board executive fellowship program.

Tiffany Northern was named COO of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.

Ms. Northern most recently served as vice president of operations at MedStar Health in Washington, D.C., where she was responsible for managing 20 ancillary and support service departments, an Oct. 18 news release said.

Before that, she was an associate COO at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare's Las Vegas branch.
