Stanley Spinner, MD, will retire as chief medical officer and vice president of Texas Children’s Pediatrics on Jan. 18, according to an Oct. 24 news release from the system. Dr. Spinner has held leadership roles at the system for 40 years, including chief medical officer for Texas Children’s Pediatrics and Texas Children’s Urgent Care, both based in Houston, for the past 13 years.
The roles of chief medical officer will be filled by two pediatricians.
Sapna Singh, MD, a pediatrician, has been appointed chief medical officer of Texas Children’s Pediatrics. Dr. Singh also serves as the medical director of physician engagement and wellness at Texas Children’s Pediatrics.
Terry Yen, MD, a pediatrician, has been appointed chief medical officer of Texas Children’s Urgent Care. Dr. Yen has served as medical director of Texas Children’s Urgent Care since 2014.
