Terri Gillespie named CNO of University of Mississippi Medical Center

University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson has named Terri Gillespie, MSN, as its new CNO, effective Sept. 1, according to a Mississippi Business Journal report.

Ms. Gillespie has more than 31 years of nursing experience. She earned her master’s degree in nursing on the executive track from the UMMC School of Nursing and is enrolled in the doctor of nursing practice program currently, according to the report.

Ms. Gillespie is replacing Janet Harris, DNP, who is moving full-time to the role of associate dean for practice and community engagement in the School of Nursing, a position she has filled since January.
