Mr. Ross died Sept. 12 after nearly four decades with the seven-hospital system.

Based on a succession plan that Mr. Ross had discussed with the health system’s board of trustees, the board appointed COO Tina Prescott president and CEO, according to a Sept. 24 news release.

“Tina has been a valued member of our team for 28 years, and her extensive experience, demonstrated leadership ability, and deep understanding of our organization make her exceptionally qualified for this role,” the release said. “Under Tina’s stewardship, our organization will continue to thrive and stay true to the vision, values and leadership example set by JR.”
