Tennessee hospitals name chief nursing officer

Sean Daniel, BSN, RN, has been named chief nursing officer of two critical access hospitals in Tennessee: Highpoint Health-Trousdale in Hartsville and Highpoint Health-Riverview in Carthage. 

Mr. Daniel has served as interim CNO of the hospitals for the past two months, Highpoint Health said in a March 4 post on LinkedIn. He brings more than two decades of experience in nursing leadership to the role, spanning ambulatory, acute care and specialty operations. He is the former senior director of regional ambulatory operations at Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Highpoint Health is based in Gallatin, Tenn. It is a joint venture between Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health and Ascension Saint Thomas, the Tennessee regional system of St. Louis-based Ascension.
