Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare has named J. Michael Grooms senior vice president and controller, effective April 6, and principal accounting officer effective May 1, according to a March 30 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. Grooms joins Tenet from Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, where he has served as chief accounting officer since 2018. He has held various reporting and accounting leadership roles with LifePoint since 2006.
He succeeds R. Scott Ramsey, who is retiring on April 30. He will remain employed with Tenet on a part-time basis through March 31, 2028, providing transition services and support.
