Tenet making 9 executive changes

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare said several leadership changes are coming in 2023, including the retirement of its CFO and the president of United Surgical Partners International at the end of the year.  

The changes were announced in a Jan. 19 news release from the system:

1. Executive Vice President and CFO Daniel Cancelmi is retiring at the end of 2023. The system is conducting a national search for a successor, who will be directly mentored and onboarded by Mr. Cancelmi. 

2. USPI President and CEO Brett Brodnax is retiring at the end of 2023. He has offered support in a nonmanagement role after 2023. 

3. Andy Johnston returned to USPI as its chief administrative officer and is expected to be promoted once Mr. Brodnax retires. 

4. Conifer Health Solutions President and CEO Roger Davis is retiring at the end of the first quarter of 2023. A search for a successor is ongoing.

5. Deepali Narula has been promoted to COO of Conifer.  

6. Bryan Forry has been promoted to CFO of Conifer. 

7. Maggie Gill has been promoted to group president of the health system's Eastern Group, overseeing Florida, South Carolina and Massachusetts hospital operations.

8. Matthew Stone has been promoted to group president of the health system's Central Group, overseeing Central and South Texas, Alabama and Tennessee hospital operations.

9. Nicholas Tejeda has been promoted to group president of the health system's Western Group, overseeing West Texas, Northern California and Orange County-Los Angeles hospital operations.
