TeamHealth appoints former LifePoint CFO Leif Murphy new CEO: 5 things to know

Here are five things to know:

1. Mr. Murphy most recently served as executive vice president and CFO of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health.

2. With more than 20 years of healthcare executive experience, he joined LifePoint Health as executive vice president and chief development officer in 2011.

3. He has also served as CEO of DSI Renal and as an executive at Caremark.

4. Mr. Murphy will succeed Michael D. Snow as CEO of TeamHealth, who is retiring.

5. TeamHealth includes 19,000 affiliated physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
