Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health named Rick Moreland CEO of Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch, Calif., effective Aug. 24.
Mr. Moreland most recently served as interim CEO and executive of operations at Sutter Delta, according to an Aug. 18 health system news release. He joined Sutter Health in 2025.
He will also serve as a dyad partner to Harish Rengarajan, MD, the hospital’s chief medical executive.
Before joining Sutter Health, Mr. Moreland served as executive of operations for perioperative and surgical services at the University of Vermont Medical Center and Children’s Hospital in Burlington.
His previous leadership roles include COO at Dignity Health’s Mercy Medical Center in Merced, Calif. He also held leadership positions at Adventist Health Rideout in Marysville, Calif., and Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Medicine.
Mr. Moreland has more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience.
