Antioch, Calif.-based Sutter Delta Medical Center named Harish Rengarajan, MD, chief medical executive, effective Feb. 9.
In his new role, Dr. Rengarajan will work with Sutter Delta’s CEO to strengthen clinical leadership and improve care in the East Contra Costa community, according to a Jan. 31 system press release published by Contra Costa News.
He currently serves as program director for internal medicine and transitional year residency programs at Sutter’s Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. Previously, he was the associate chief medical officer at St. Mary’s General Hospital in New Jersey.
