Mr. Kirkbride is leaving to pursue other opportunities, according to a statement emailed to Becker’s Hospital Review.
He has led the hospital for the last three years, during which it developed new services, including an occupational medicine service line and telehealth services. The hospital also added an urgent care facility.
“We would like to thank Jim for his service and leadership of Susan B. Allen over the past three years and for his commitment to the community and our stakeholders,” said Board of Trustees Chairperson Cami Baker.
The board’s CEO selection committee has begun the search for an interim CEO to lead the hospital until it names a permanent leader.
