Steven Jorgensen is St. Mary’s Health System’s new president: 4 points

Tewksbury, Mass.-based Covenant Health named Steven C. Jorgensen senior vice president and president of St. Mary’s Health System in Lewiston, Maine, effective Aug. 20.

Here are four points:

1. Mr. Jorgensen most recently served as vice president of business development and COO at Duluth, Minn.-based Essentia Health.

2. He previously worked at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, where he was head of human resources and administrator of several departments.

3. He has also served as chair of clinical operations at Mayo’s Jacksonville (Fla.) facility.

4. Mr. Jorgensen holds a master of industrial relations degree from Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota.
