Steven Packer, MD. President and CEO of Community Hospital of the Monterey (Calif.) Peninsula. Dr. Packer has served as president and CEO of Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and the Community Hospital Foundation since January 1999. He previously served as chief of staff and medical director of the hospital’s intensive care unit for 11 years. Dr. Packer was awarded the California Health Foundation & Trust’s Walker-Sullivan Fellowship, is a member of the AOA Medical Honor Society and was a partner in a cardiopulmonary practice before joining the hospital. He serves on the boards of the California Hospital Association and the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, among others.
