Stephen Scogna Assumes Responsibility for Provena Saint Joseph’s Spiritual Mission

Stephen Scogna, new president and CEO of Provena Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Ill., assumed spiritual leadership of the Catholic-sponsored hospital on Sept. 15, according to a Suburban Chicago News report.

Mr. Scogna has served as CEO since Aug. 10 but only recently became accountable for furthering the Catholic ministry’s identity. He replaced William A. Brown, who served as president and CEO of Provena Saint Joseph from 2002 until February.

Hospital staff praised Mr. Scogna for work to develop a positive relationship with Sherman Hospital, also in Elgin.
