Mr. Scogna has served as CEO since Aug. 10 but only recently became accountable for furthering the Catholic ministry’s identity. He replaced William A. Brown, who served as president and CEO of Provena Saint Joseph from 2002 until February.
Hospital staff praised Mr. Scogna for work to develop a positive relationship with Sherman Hospital, also in Elgin.
